ABOVE & BELOW: The aft cafeteria/self service restaurant showing the original fittings. These appear to have been quickly replaced by much less interesting Brittany Ferries ones after the ship became Quiberon, although it seems likely that she served at least one season on the Santander route with the area in this configuration. Bright modern yellow armchairs and bench seating, combined with some rather daring lamps and the abstract artwork on the bulkheads give a modern air to the whole saloon, tempered only by the sober dark wood-effect wall panelling and table surfaces.
ABOVE: 'The Brittany Ferries effect': the same space seen after first major Brittany Ferries refit. This robbed the area almost entirely of its original fittings, replacing them with new, but much more conservative, ones. The sole survivors seem to be the tables which, although resurfaced, appear to remain - identifiable by the metal legs complete with large circular bases. Much use of the latticework partitions is made and the clustered light fittings have also made an appearance (as seen in the restaurant at the same time). The dark wood panelling has disappeared, replaced by light grey and wood wall surfaces. Last but not least, Brittany Ferries have removed the abstract artwork from the bulkheads - in their place have come a series of peaceful watercolours.

ABOVE: 'Les Iles' seen in late November 2002, during Quiberon's final weeks in Brittany Ferries service. Modest changes have been made to the scene as in the previous picture: the chairs have been re-upholstered, the red carpet replaced with a new green striped one, interspersed with tiled walkways. The left hand view shows a view looking forward on the port side, into the servery area, whilst that on the right is facing aft from the cafeteria's centreline entrance in the aft Deck 6 lobby..
BELOW: A final view of 'Les Iles' from 2002, looking forward/across to starboard from a central position at the aft end. The door in the centre of the picture at the far side of the seating area leads into the small playroom.

ABOVE & BELOW: The cafeteria on board Giulia d'Abundo in 2006, with the chairs on the tables as the ship lay-by in Almeria. As in other parts of the ship, carpetting has been replaced by easy-to-clean laminate flooring, but the space is otherwise unchanged.
