The Nils Dacke was blessed with a wealth of deckspace, the bulk of it being located on an ample sundeck aft, and a pair of lengthy promenades stretching forward from the front edge of the sundeck to the bridge. The title picture (above) gives a good indication of this. Right forward was an area of deck at the main passenger deck level, beneath and forward of the bridge, which seems to have been accessible for passengers on certain occasions, direct from the forward bar. This does not appear to have been open as a matter of course however.

ABOVE: The original builder's plate, located aft on the small deck space at the stern of Deck 7. The details note that Nils Dacke was Yard No. 684, built in 1975.
ABOVE: Two pictures taken on board the Quiberon in 2002. Left: A view forward from the front edge of the Sun Deck (aft on Deck 8) of the port-side promenade on the deck below. Right: Looking forward on the starboard promenade. The small rectangular windows facing back at the far end of the deck are located in the bridge structure itself, although passengers cannot access the promenade far enough forward to look into the bridge.
BELOW LEFT: Forward of the sundeck at the same level is this narrow deckspace, not accessible to passengers. This is the port side view. BELOW RIGHT: Looking astern on the port side promenade.

ABOVE & BELOW: Two views looking aft along the port-side promenade deck, taken approximately twenty-five years apart on the Quiberon (above) in her very early days with Brittany Ferries and the Giulia d'Abundo (below, in 2006). Early in the ship's Mediterranean career the lifeboats were repainted white.
