| ANEK's twin-funnelled Arkadi is a relatively recent acquisition by that company, having come to them with the purchase of the old Cretan Ferries company. The latter, which operated a pair of ships on overnight services from Piraeus to Rethimnon on Crete had bought the Arkadi from her original Japanese owners for whom she had operatd as Bizan Maru in 1989. The ship has remained on the same route as before, and still operated with the other ex-Cretan Ferries ship, Prevelis. |
